About This Beach
McDill Swim Beach at Meadow Park is Big Bear Lake's premier family swimming destination and the only beach with lifeguard supervision. After being closed for 10 years due to low water levels, the beach reopened with exciting upgrades. The sandy beach offers shallow, clear waters perfect for young children and beginning swimmers. Features include a floating dock, inflatable slide, and water trampoline (life jacket required). Swimmers going beyond 4.5 feet depth must pass a simple swim test. The beach is part of the 16.25-acre Meadow Park complex offering sports courts, playgrounds, and shaded picnic areas. The snack bar and clean restroom facilities add convenience. This is the safest and most supervised swimming option in Big Bear Lake, ideal for families with children.
