Hanna Flat Campground

USDA Forest Service 7000 ft elevation

Hanna Flat is a large, forested campground perched above Fawnskin on the north side of Big Bear Lake, offering a quieter and more rugged alternative to Serrano. The trailhead for the Hanna Flat Trail — which climbs to Gray's Peak and intersects the Pacific Crest Trail — begins right at the campground. Access requires driving 2.5 miles of dirt road (Forest Road 3N14), which limits very large rigs but rewards campers with tall pines, relative solitude, and cooler temperatures.
