Big Bear Parking Passes & Reservations (2026–27)

Big Bear Mountain Resort (Bear Mountain, Snow Summit & Snow Valley) charges for its upper lots in winter. Here's exactly how the daily reservation and the season pass work β€” and how to avoid paying.

βœ…

Checked for the 2026–27 season. Prices and rules change every winter β€” we last verified this page in 2026. Always confirm the live price and real-time lot status before you drive up.

The short answer

Only the upper lots nearest each base lodge are paid, and only in winter. You either buy a daily parking reservation ($25–$40 per regular vehicle, $75 oversized/RV) online at least one day in advance, or a 2026–27 Premium Parking Pass that covers upper-lot parking all season. There is no day-of purchase. If you arrive without a reservation and the upper lots are full, you're directed to a free remote lot + shuttle.

The two ways to pay

🎟️ Daily paid parking

  • $25–$40 per regular vehicle, priced by date tier (regular / peak / holiday)
  • $75 flat for oversized vehicles & RVs
  • Buy online β‰₯ 1 day before β€” no day-of sales
  • Covers one upper-lot spot at your chosen resort for that day

πŸ…ΏοΈ 2026–27 Premium Parking Pass

  • Upper-lot parking all season at Bear Mountain, Snow Summit & Snow Valley
  • No blackout dates
  • Limited & first-come β€” can sell out; went on sale June 9, 2026
  • Non-refundable, non-shareable, scanned per visit
  • Reserve Pass holders got a $100 discount code (discount only β€” not a guarantee of availability)

The exact 2026–27 Premium Parking Pass price wasn't published at the time we checked β€” confirm the current figure on the resort's parking page before buying.

How to book a daily reservation, step by step

1

Pick your date first

Rates and availability are date-specific. Decide which day you're skiing before you start β€” peak and holiday dates sell out.

2

Go to the resort parking page

Open Big Bear Mountain Resort's parking page and choose Daily Paid Parking. You cannot buy this at the gate on the day of.

3

Choose your resort & vehicle size

Select Bear Mountain or Snow Summit and whether you're a regular or oversized/RV vehicle ($75).

4

Pay at least one day ahead

Complete checkout no later than the day before. Save the confirmation β€” it's scanned on arrival.

5

Check the Ikon Pass app that morning

Live lot status shows whether upper lots are open. If they're full and you don't have a reservation, follow signs to the free remote lot + shuttle.

Cancellations & refunds

The season Premium Parking Pass is non-refundable and can't be shared or replaced if lost. For daily reservations, refund/change rules vary by date β€” check the terms at checkout before you pay.

If you show up without one

Once the upper lots fill, drivers without a reservation are turned away from the paid lots and directed to a free remote lot with shuttle service. You won't be stranded β€” but you'll add ~10–20 minutes of shuttle time.
