Will the slopes be open?
It depends on the weather. Big Bear's resorts aim to open around mid-to-late November, leaning on snowmaking when nights get cold enough — so an opening day is possible, but early-season terrain is limited and entirely conditions-dependent. If skiing is the whole point of your trip, watch the resort's opening announcements before you commit, or plan for December when operations are more reliable.
