About This Parking Lot
Free parking at the expansive 16.25-acre Meadow Park facility managed by San Bernardino County Special Districts, located at 41220 Park Avenue. Parking capacity of 40-60 spaces serves this popular multi-use recreation area. The park provides access to Swim Beach (McDill Swim Beach), the lake's only lifeguarded swim area, which charges its own admission ($10 adults 13+, $5 youth 3-12, seniors 60+ and military; under 3 free) and in 2026 is open June 20-August 30, Friday through Sunday only, 11am-4pm. Parking itself stays free. The park also has picnic tables and BBQ areas, basketball courts, volleyball courts, tennis courts, children's playground equipment, and baseball fields. Clean public restrooms available on-site. Dawn to dusk hours enforced. This family-friendly destination gets busiest on summer weekends when the swim beach is operating - arrive early (before 10am) for parking during peak season. Quieter during winter months. The free parking combined with excellent recreational facilities makes Meadow Park a fantastic value for families and active visitors seeking lake access and outdoor recreation in Big Bear.
