Moderate-sized parking area with 20-30 spaces at the scenic Aspen Glen Picnic Area, serving as the trailhead for the popular Pine Knot Trail to Grand View Point (7.1 miles roundtrip). Located on Mill Creek Road approximately 2.5 miles south of Highway 18, this facility features excellent amenities including vault toilet, picnic tables, BBQ grills, and a large community fire ring - perfect for post-hike meals and gatherings. Adventure Pass required ($5 daily or $30 annual). The lot rarely fills in early morning (before 9am), making it more accessible than some other popular trailheads. Elevation approximately 7,000 feet. The picnic area provides a beautiful mountain setting among Jeffrey pines and white firs, and many hikers enjoy picnicking here after completing the rewarding climb to Grand View Point with its panoramic vistas of San Bernardino Mountains and Big Bear Valley.
